PureLung and COPD: Not a COPD Product, and Why That Matters
PureLung is not a COPD product. The label names no disease, and a capsule cannot replace inhalers, pulmonary rehab or oxygen. COPD care rests on quitting smoking, prescribed medicines and a plan with a clinician. Call 911 for severe breathlessness, blue lips, chest pain or confusion.

What is COPD?
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a long-term lung condition that blocks airflow and makes breathing hard. The usual causes are smoking and long exposure to fumes or dust. Common signs are lasting cough, mucus, wheeze and breathlessness, which worsen over time (NHLBI, What Is COPD?).
COPD is diagnosed with a breathing test called spirometry, ordered by a clinician (NHLBI, Tests for Lung Disease).
What the PureLung label says about COPD
Nothing. The label does not name COPD or any condition. It says support with an asterisk. This site does not say the capsule helps COPD, and pages that do are wrong. A supplement may not claim to treat a disease.
What proven COPD care looks like
Care for COPD is a package of steps, and each has a record behind it that a capsule does not.
- Quitting smoking, the single step that slows the decline (NHLBI, COPD Treatment).
- Prescribed inhalers, taken as directed.
- Pulmonary rehabilitation, a program of exercise and teaching.
- Vaccines for flu, pneumonia and other infections.
- An action plan that says what to do when symptoms worsen.
- Oxygen therapy for those who need it.
Why a supplement does not fit
A blend of eleven names with hidden amounts has not been tested in people with COPD. It could interact with medicines, and a hopeful buyer may be tempted to cut back on an inhaler. That swap is the main risk, because under-treated COPD leads to flare-ups and hospital stays.
Do not reduce or stop a prescribed medicine for any capsule. Ask your clinician before adding any supplement.

See packsIf you have COPD and still want to try a supplement
Ask your clinician or pharmacist first, with the panel in hand. Ask about each medicine you take, about sodium if you have heart or kidney trouble and about warning signs. Keep a diary of symptoms so any change can be checked. Do not expect results, since none has been shown, and keep every routine appointment and breathing test while you try it.
