Reading the PureLung Supplement Facts Panel Line by Line

Quick answer

The panel shows a serving size of 2 capsules, 30 servings per container, and one line, Proprietary Blend 600 mg, followed by eleven names. No per-ingredient amounts are printed and the daily value is marked as not established. Inactive ingredients follow: rice flour, magnesium stearate, silica dioxide.

How should you read a panel?

Start at the top and work down. The first thing is the serving size, because every number below refers to that serving. Then the servings per container, then the list of ingredients with amounts, then the footnote about daily values, then the other ingredients line.

Federal rules set this layout for supplements, so a panel on any bottle follows the same order (FDA, FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).

The top: serving and count

Serving size: 2 capsules. Servings per container: 30. If you take one capsule, you receive half of everything printed here. If you take four, you receive double.

The middle: the blend line

The key line says Proprietary Blend, 600 mg, then eleven names. The name of the blend is a group label, and 600 mg is the combined weight. A blend can hide the split between ingredients. The rule is that names are listed from the most to the least by weight.

Why the order helps

If the first name is Himalayan pink salt, the salt weighs the most. If the last is green tea extract, it weighs the least. The order is the only clue to weight on the label.

The footnote and the daily value

Panels usually show a percent of daily value for each nutrient that has one. A proprietary blend has no daily value set, so the footnote reads something like daily value not established. Do not read a missing percent as zero. It means the number is not provided.

The bottom: other ingredients

Rice flour, magnesium stearate and silica dioxide. These are not the active part. They carry a caution only if you have an allergy or a strict diet. Check your own bottle for an allergen statement, since the side panel text in our image was cut off.

What is missing

The gaps matter as much as the numbers, and a careful reader notes them before ordering.

  • Per-ingredient amounts.
  • The type of cinnamon and the full name and form of AGP choline.
  • What the percentages printed beside five names stand for, since the label does not explain them.
  • A named testing lab.
  • Directions, storage and warnings, which sit on a panel we could not read.

What does the PureLung label say?

The label shows 60 capsules, a serving of 2 and a 600 mg Proprietary Blend of eleven names with no single amount; it names no disease.

FAQ01

PureLung questions people ask

What is a proprietary blend?

A named mix where only the total weight is printed.

Does 600 mg mean each capsule?

No. It is per serving of 2 capsules.

Why is there no percent daily value?

None is established for a blend. It is not a zero.

Is the panel the same on every bottle?

It should be. Compare your bottle with the panel image on this site.

What if my panel differs?

The panel on your bottle wins. Tell the seller.
